RSI can help you obtain bulk aggregates to build a new field or maintain an existing field. RSI has multiple production facilities where we actually produce our materials. We control the quality so we can offer you the best option for performance.
RSI Sports Field product lineup started with sand for rootzone blends and topdressing athletic fields. It expanded into soil blends, infield mix and warning track material, gravels for parking areas and drainage, and much more.
River Sand delivers directly to you or you can pick up material in your own dump truck. We have multiple size dump trucks available to deliver throughout Atlanta, Alpharetta, Ganesville, Athens, Commerce, Clayton, Canton, and everywhere in between. Our single axle may be perfect for a couple of tons of mound mix for the baseball or softball season. Our tandem axle dump truck is perfect for accessing the infield to dump baseball dirt or sand on a field before it is covered in turf. Our tractor trailer is a great option to dump topdressing sand for your TifTuf or Tifway 419 turf field. We even have a spreader truck that we can spread warning track material and topdressing on fields with before upon delivery.

USGA Topdressing
Topdressing sand is critical for the maintenance of your field turf. Topdressing by applying a thin layer of sand on top of the turf will help level the field surface for safety purposes, anticipated ball bounces, and mowing with scalping. Along with core aeration topdressing sand will help eliminate excessive thatch. River Sand offers a few options for topdressing sand and topdressing blends but USGA Topdressing has remained one of the most popular options with stringent quality control.
Rootzone Material
For decades we have provided the foundation for each field, it’s rootzone. The health of your field depends on the soil beneath it. High traffic and high wear areas cannot maintain healthy turf without a rootzone designed to handle the play. Rapid drainage and proper porosity are keys to deep healthy roots and eliminating wet spots or puddles in the playing field. RSI has both standard blends for rootzone materials, but we have also blended custom sands and soils based on preferences and/or specifications.
Warning Track Material
Player’s safety is a priority at all levels of play. Our warning track material is designed to allow players to safely play all the way to the wall with confidence. The material does not contain rocks but the texture allows them to feel the change without losing traction. Along with the proper grading, it will drain rapidly after storm events. We offer a few options for available colors and pricing options.

Beach Volleyball Sand
RSI offers multiple options for volleyball sand based on preference and budget. However, we recommend our true Volleyball Sand that meets FIVB standards, and is a brilliant white colored silica sand. Colors of sand can be changed for less glare and more economical options as well. The ideal volleyball sand though drains well, contains few fine particles that stick to players, provides the ideal balance of firmness and cushion for players, and looks amazing.
